There’s been movement in the ranks!

While our Federal Government plays musical chairs, we have, too – but in a good and positive way!  Some of our amazing staff have taken on new roles recently, and we’d like to introduce you to them.

Amanda Ferguson – New Grants Manager

  1. Former role and new role:  My old and still current role is the Executive Assistant, and I’ve also taken on the grants management.  My email signature now says “Personal Assistant to the Executive / Grants and Sponsorship Delivery Manager.  I know that’s too long! I need some abbreviations!
  2. What are you looking forward to most about your new job? I’m looking forward to the challenge of juggling, but I’m really excited about the possibility of bringing in some dollars to help our chappies do what they do, and getting a little closer to the ‘ground work’.
  3. Best coffee in your town? Whichever cafe owes me a free one!
  4. NRL or cricket?  Pink!  Ok, so I’m not really a sports fan!
  5. Surf or turf?  Eating, then definitely turf.  For playing, I’d have to say where surf meets turf.  I’m an outdoorsy kind of girl!

Phil Magarey – New Southern Queensland Regional Manager

  1. Former role and new role: My old role was an FDM in Central Queensland East for 18 months.  My new role is the RM for Southern Queensland.
  2. What are you looking forward to most about your new job? I’m looking forward to the opportunity of birthing and mobilising ministry and encouraging people to get behind our mission of bringing HOPE to our communities.
  3. Best coffee in your town? I’m not sure yet because I’m new to Toowoomba!  However, being a big coffee snob, I will have an answer soon
  4. NRL or cricket? Neither, AFL all the way!
  5. Surf or turf? Turf.

Ian Cumming – New Central and North Queensland Regional Manager

  1. Former role and new role:  I was an FDM for Central Queensland South and West and was in the role for 19 months. Now, I’m the Regional Manager for Central and North Queensland.
  2. What are you looking forward to most about your new job?  I’m looking forward to continuing to support the amazing people of CNQ to bring hope in our young rural and regional generation. This region is full of amazing young people who, given support, can have a large positive impact on their communities and our nation.
  3. Best coffee in your town?  At my place – Ian’s Kitchen
  4. NRL or cricket?  Both
  5. Surf or turf?  Both, at the same time! Unless you mean the beach surf then, definitely turf!

Nigel Krueger – New FDM in Mackay

  1. Former role and new role: I was the chappy at Biloela High and Jambin State School for the last six years, and my new role is an FDM.
  2. What are you looking forward to most about your new job? I’m excited to love and support the chappies and their communities in my patch. FDM is also going to be a role that will take me out of my comfort zone so it will be a space where I will need to lean into God and let Him take the wheel. Fun times ahead!
  3. Best coffee in your town?  Biloela and good coffee can be a push to put in the same sentence, but there is one lady at the IGA who can make a pretty mean cup.
  4. NRL or cricket?  NRL!  Go the Broncos!
  5. Surf or turf? Any water, as long as it’s got fish in it!
