This month, we are pleased to update you on a few improvements to our financial reporting. This should help LCC’s manage their finances and their ability to plan ahead.
On the front page of your LCC, you will be able to see a summary of all the important financial data that you need to manage your Chaplaincy Service. On the right hand side is the 2016 Year To Date information. Underneath is the Current Month data, which is updated on the 14th day of each month for the previous month.
Available Government Grants for 2016 are listed below for your convenience, as well as any rollover funding available.
The new Financial Health Check at the bottom of the right hand column will give you the required 3 month balance, needed after NSCP/state funds are distributed. This figure is based on service fees only and any extra budget items would need to be added in. Listed are the required community funds balance and also your current community funds balance for comparison. This will be highlighted green for those LCC’s with enough finances for the next 3 months. If you see the colour red or orange you need to be checking to see what other finances will be needed to sustain your Chaplaincy Service.
We trust this information will help simplify your financial needs. There is still the opportunity to use the budget tool to look at the bigger annual picture, including fundraisers and donations. On the budget tool, recurring gifts are updated weekly which should give you a clear picture of donors for your chaplaincy service. Our IT team have worked tirelessly to improve and simplify the reporting tools so that you can get on with your important role of supporting your chaplain.
