From the CEO

Dear Friends,

Last week I had the opportunity to travel throughout Southern Queensland with some of the regional management staff and field support team. Starting in Toowoomba, we travelled on to Tara, Miles, Roma, Surat, St George, Goondiwindi, Stanthorpe and Warwick. This is very special country for me, with many friends and old family ties. I love travelling the state and meeting people passionate about supporting the work of chaplains.

It was a fantastic journey filled with many great conversations with our Southern Queensland chaplains, LCC members, school staff and students. This reminded yet again of the passion throughout the state for school chaplaincy and the impact it has on Queensland’s young people. Thank you to all of those who made the trip such a success and a great learning experience.

From speaking to those chaplains and LCC members in the field, I would like to encourage all of you by reminding you that you are a part of a much bigger organisation that cares for each one of you. We also care deeply for the young people in your communities that you work tirelessly to support and defend. Everyone is our organisation is appreciative of the work you do as an individual for your community. It is also great to consider that you are a part of something so much bigger than yourself, which encompasses much of the state we live in.

Best wishes,

Peter James
