From the CEO

Dear Friends,

School chaplaincy would not be the life-changing support service it is today without the hours of service you invest in your local community, through your LCC. If you’re not constantly reminded of this fact in your service to your committee, then allow me to express it now – you are school chaplaincy’s solid foundation.

As this is the last Chaplaincy Matters newsletter of 2016, thank you for the phenomenal assistance you’ve been to chaplains in your patch this year.

They say, ‘if you’re not constantly improving, you’re falling behind’ and that is very much an unofficial motto of SU QLD. We’re always looking for new ways to improve functionality and processes, especially for our hardworking LCC’s.

From the feedback we receive from all of you, we have identified areas where improvements can and should be made. Some of these improvements take longer than others to implement but I am excited by all the ways which SU QLD are aiming to improve in 2017. All of our departments work tirelessly to make your lives easier and to empower our chaplaincy committees to continue their amazing achievements. We will definitely keep you updated with the progress of these upgrades, developments and improvements, so stay tuned for your Chaplaincy Matters newsletters throughout 2017.

Once again, thank you for all the time and energy you invest into supporting chaplaincy in your community. Young lives are being impacted each day, and that’s made possible through you!

Best wishes,

Peter James
